Like most people, I love a good shower. I love nothing more than starting my day—or unwinding after a long one—with a steamy, relaxing soak. It’s where I get some of my best thinking (and singing) done. Another fact about me: I spend more time than I’m willing to admit checking out bathroom accommodations when I book a hotel for vacation. A waterfall shower head and a spacious tub are all I need to feel pampered on vacay—who cares if the continental breakfast is just a bunch of mini muffins?

Unfortunately, as a 20-something beauty editor living in New York City with roommates, I don’t have access to a luxurious shower. Instead, the cramped shower I share with two other adults is piled high with precariously stacked products that make an already small space feel even smaller. While I’ve considered swapping out my showerhead for years now, my paltry shower never felt worthy...which is why I couldn’t wait to try out the Vitaclean Vitamin C Filtered Showerhead when it came across my desk as a gift of the brand.

It’s been just a few short weeks, but this shiny new showerhead has completely changed how I feel about my tiny shower. Continue reading to find out why you’re going to want a Vitaclean Vitamin C Filtered Showerhead in your shower ASAP.

What is the Vitaclean showerhead?

The Vitaclean Vitamin C Filtered Showerhead is an easy to install, water-conserving showerhead that boasts three levels of filtration and comes with vitamin C and essential oil infused capsules.

The shower filter is FDA-approved to remove 98 percent of chlorine from your shower water, can help improve water pressure, and reduces water consumption by up to 25 percent. If all of that wasn’t good enough for you, the accompanying vitamin C and essential oil-infused capsules come in a variety of aromatherapy scents including citrus, rose, and lavender, that claim to make your skin and hair look and feel softer. Each showerhead is sold with one vitamin C and essential oil-infused capsule that lasts anywhere from two to three months. Replacement capsules are sold separately on the site for as little as $12.99 MSRP.

How To Use The Vitaclean Showerhead

Getting started with the Vitaclean Vitamin C Filtered Showerhead is quick because all you have to do is install it. Full disclosure, I asked my fiancé to install the showerhead and while it seemed super easy—he got it done in less than 10 minutes—my installation knowledge is merely secondhand. Once the showerhead was installed, I turned on the shower to make sure it worked and could tell the difference right away.

The brand was kind enough to send me a citrus vitamin C capsule along with my showerhead and the fruity aroma enveloped my tiny bathroom immediately. Bathrooms with windows that allow for easy ventilation are hard to come across in NYC, which means my bathroom often smells damp (ew). Since installing the Vitaclean showerhead, however, it smells like a lemon tree has been planted in my bathroom every time I take a shower. The scent is potent enough that the lovely lemony orange smell lingers while I finish my skin and hair care routine out of the shower.

The second thing I immediately noticed was the water pressure. I’ll be honest, I never really took care of my previous showerhead and it’s possible that years of rust and mineral buildup took its toll on the water pressure. Using the Vitaclean showerhead made me feel like we got a brand new shower! I could feel my muscles begin to relax as the newly pressurized water stream hit my back. The Vitaclean shower head couldn’t make my bathtub any bigger, but with my eyes closed the delicious scent and heavenly pressure made me feel like I was on vacation.

The biggest appeal of the Vitaclean showerhead is the beauty benefits—softer-feeling hair and skin. It only took a few days for my skin to begin loving the vitamin C and essential oil blend. While I still rely on lotion to lock in moisture after my shower, my skin looked smoother and seemed to stay moisturized longer—no more reapplying lotion in the middle of the day.

While I can’t say for certain that the Vitaclean showerhead made my hair feel softer, I do think it has helped my hair products work better. New York City has hard water full of minerals that can sometimes create a film on my curly hair that’s nearly impossible to wash out without a clarifying shampoo. Since installing the Vitaclean showerhead I can say my hair is officially film-free. When I rinse my hair out, my strands feel squeaky clean and ready for whatever products I choose that day.

If I hopped on a plane every time I was in the mood for a vacay-worthy shower, I'd be in so much debt it would make my student loans look manageable. Thanks to Vitaclean I can spend my money on things that really matter, like another pack of instant noodles to help me make it 'til payday.

If you want to feel like you’re on vacation every day without actually having to book an expensive flight, look no further than the Vitaclean Vitamin C Filtered Showerhead. Vitaclean transformed my lackluster shower into the spa-like oasis I’ve always dreamed of.

The Vitaclean Vitamin C Filtered Showerhead is available for purchase at www.vitacleanhq.com. Wall-mounted heads start at $104.
