"Redken Frizz Dismiss Rebel Tame is a fantastic leave-in cream that also heat-protects hair up to 450 degrees. It’s the perfect multitasker and great for my clients on-the-go who want one cream that does it all. It's the perfect product to include in a blowout after a cut!" -Redken Brand Ambassador Rodney Cutler

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful This is an honest review from a loyal customer. I have been using the Frizz Dismiss Rebel Tame Leave in smoothing control cream in the gold packaging since it launched, and absolutely love the product. This week I popped into my local hairdressers to purchase a tube of the Rebel Tame, but I couldn't find it on the shelf. The hairdresser pointed out a bright lipstick tube and said that it had been re-packaged, I was like 'oh no', as it is one thing that bugs me about Redken, they constantly change products I fall in love with. Anyway the hairdresser assured me that it was just a packaging change and that there was no change to the formulation. Well that clearly wasn't true, as soon as I opened it I could tell that the smell had changed from the soft floral woody smell to a sickly vanilla & coconut fragrance. Then when I used it in my hair I knew instantly that the formulation had changed, it left my hair dry, didn't smooth the frizz and created a build up on my hair. I really do not like the product at all, it's awful to be quite honest, but what I'm most annoyed about is that Redken in New Zealand keep saying that it is only the fragrance that has changed and that there has been no change to the formulation. I have studied the ingredients and the new product has had the following ingredients removed Pentaclethra Macroloba oil/seed oil which is a rich emollient and nourishing oil, BHT which is often used as an anti-oxident), Xylose is a heat protector, Ethylhexyl Methoxy Cinnamate protects from UV light and the floral woody fragrance. They have been replaced with 7 fragrance ingredients plus Benzyl alcohol which is often used as a conditoner. Now if that isn't a re-formulation, I'm not sure what is and someone may need to go back and restudy cosmetic science again!!!!!! Redken you have let me down.
