Alexa Chung Just Landed A Major Hair Campaign With L'Oréal Professionnel

When it comes to the pop culture idea of a cool girl, no woman fits the the job description the way Alexa Chung does. It’s only fitting, then, that Chung be the woman who inspires your next cut and color. L’Oreal Professionnel announced today that the British star will be its International Spokesperson for 2018, fronting campaigns for launches including a new collection called Color Me French.

Whether she’s crafting her own eyeliner, making denim that fits like a dream, or penning a book that brings together her many fashion influences, Chung has made a name for herself in recent years as a tastemaker.

“Alexa Chung truly embodies L’Oréal Professionnel’s core values,” Marion Brunet, international general manager of L’Oréal Professionnel, says of the pairing. “She is a trendsetter, is passionate about fashion, and believes in the added value of professional hair artistry. Her personality perfectly embodies the L’Oréal Professionnel woman: confident, elegant, and free.”

Interestingly, this is far from the first time Chung has exercised influence over the hair industry. Chung’s signature style involves a lob cut that falls just below the shoulders, leading many women to make a similar hair decision. In 2016, the star’s glamorous curtain bangs led female fans to ask their stylist for a look that mimicked Chung’s style.

When it comes to L’Oréal Professionnel, Chung is no stranger. The brand was backstage for the launch of her first clothing label, ALEXACHUNG, in London. It later returned to work with her again during Paris Fashion Week 2017.

We won’t see the first photos from this collaboration for some time, but keep checking back. There’s no beauty campaign quite like the kind Chung stars in.
