Each year, Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda runway shows display some of the most beautiful and innovative couture looks in the fashion world. On July 6, this year’s Alta Moda show took place at a breathtaking villa in Lake Como, Italy, where celebrities and influencers flocked to see what Dolce & Gabbana would do next.
Redken artists were along for the ride to create some of the most stunning looks of the evening. Guido Palau, celebrity stylist, and Josh Wood, Redken global color creative director, capitalized on colorful Italian romance with pastel colors, floral embellishments, and jeweled headpieces.
Among the most memorable looks of the night was a long, midnight blue wig created by Josh Wood. Palau, known for his signature runway looks including the revived ‘90s claw clip we saw earlier this year, paired the mermaid-inspired hue with loose waves and a beaded flower headband.
“For this look, Josh did an amazing cobalt blue that fades a bit in a beautiful way. I took a large curling iron and created waves—like a rich hippie,” said Palau.
