If You Have Blonde Or Gray Hair: Matrix Total Results So Silver

If you’ve ever had blonde strands, you know just how tricky it is to prevent your hair from becoming brassy. While all shades of blonde are prone to brass, ladies with cool, icy blonde and gray strands have it particularly hard.

What does Matrix Total Results So Silver do?

Matrix Total Results So Silver range is formulated to neutralizes unwanted brassy warmth and eliminate dull, yellow tones. The system illuminates highlights on blondes and adds shimmering brightness for color-treated and natural hair ranging from gray to white shades.

Silver-haired ladies may be familiar with the Matrix Total Results So Silver Shampoo, but the brand added two new products to the range: a conditioner and mask.

“The range has both a color depositing shampoo, as well as a concentrated pigment treatment mask that delivers customized toning results,” Gelman explains.

The Total Results So Silver Conditioner has the unique ability to target each hair strand, zeroing in on hair’s most porous areas and depositing moisture and nutrition where they’re needed most. Thanks to hydrating co-emulsion mask technology, dry, brittle hair is nourished and feels soft and supple.

For a little extra love, Total Results So Silver Triple Power Mask thinks and acts like a toner and features highly concentrated silver direct dyes. In five minutes or less, this super-concentrated mask provides customizable toning results. Used with So Silver Shampoo, it provides optimal, cool-toned results and healthy, supple, reflective hair. With regular use, blonde, platinum, and gray clients will lose unwanted yellow tones and become more polished, with a gorgeous, silvery finish.

Not sure if So Silver is right for you? Gelman explains that icy blondes might want to invest in this collection if they’re looking to enhance their silvery hue.

“The So Silver range is for levels eight to 10, for neutralizing yellow tones on blonde, adding cool tones to platinum, and enhancing gray—natural or colored—hair to stunning silver.”

If you’re not sure which level your color is or if the range is right for you and your mane, be sure to consult a professional stylist.

How often should you use Matrix Total Results So Silver?

Because these products contain pigment, they won’t be your everyday hair care system. Instead, swap out your regular shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask for color-treated hair once a week for the So Silver range.

If You Have Lightened Brunette Hair: Matrix Total Results Brass Off

Blondes and brass go together like peanut butter and jelly, but they’re not the only ones who experience distressing yellow tones. Brunettes are also particularly prone to brass—especially brunettes who have lightened their manes.

What does Matrix Total Results Brass Off do?

Matrix Total Results Brass Off’s blue and violet pigments neutralize the orange, brassy tones that can occur when warm, underlying pigment is exposed after darker brunette shades are lifted. Whether you’re looking for a new shampoo, conditioner, or mask, Brass Off has you covered.

“It has blue-violet color depositing formula shampoo, a non-color depositing conditioner, and a highly pigmented blue-violet color depositing mask that delivers custom toning results depending on how frequently the system is used,” Gelman explains.

In addition to the Brass Off Shampoo, Conditioner, and Mask, the system comes complete with Brass Off Blonde Threesome, a leave-in cream that targets specific concerns when darker hair is lifted to a lighter shade while protecting strands from heat damage (up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit) for soft, touchable hair.

If you’re a brunette that experiences brass, Brass Off is perfect for you. If you’re still not quite sure, just heed Gelman’s instructions.

“The Brass Off range is for lightened brunettes, levels five to seven, and neutralizes brassy and orange [tones],” she says.

How often should you use Matrix Total Results Brass Off?

Much like the So Silver range, Brass Off will not take the place of your regular hair care system for color-treated hair. Instead, once a week, swap out your shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask for Brass Off to reap the toning benefits.

With these products in your arsenal, your newly colored strands will look salon fresh weeks after your appointment.
