Editor’s Pick: Biolage HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack

woman with wet hair

As a millennial, travel is pretty high on my list of priorities. Whether it’s a weekend trip to the beach with my friends or an international excursion with my bae, traveling is one of my favorite ways to experience new things. While living out of suitcases in the name of travel is a pretty good problem to have, it does make one part of my life a little bit difficult: my hair care routine.

As a beauty editor (at Hair.com, no less), I take my hair care routine pretty seriously—which means filling and emptying travel size bottles to make sure I’m never without my hair essentials. When Biolage sent me a sneak peek of its upcoming HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack for review, I was ecstatic.

Finally, a travel size deep conditioner with a resealable cap! No longer would I have to artfully fold my single-use travel packs so they don’t explode all over my toiletries. Before it earned a permanent spot in my carry-on, however, I had to make sure it truly lives up to the hype. The Biolage HydraSource Pack not only made my hair look and feel softer than ever, but also made packing for my next trip a breeze!

Whether you have dark brown hair or ash blonde strands, you’re going to want to read on if your mane is parched.

Why Use Biolage HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack

Whether or not I fall in love with a hair product always comes back to how it plays with my hair type. I have medium length natural red textured hair with curl patterns from curl type three to eight. While my curls make for some seriously stunning hairstyles, they’re also quite dry and it typically takes an entire arsenal of hair products to make my hair look and feel moisturized—which is why I can’t afford to leave my big jug of deep conditioner at home when I’m on the road. That’s where the Biolage HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack comes in.

The deep treatment specifically for people with dry hair is formulated with aloe and spirulina extract for ultra-hydrating benefits. The HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack comes in a convenient travel size, resealable pouch that will easily fit in any toiletry bag and contains enough treatment for four applications. If it sounds like you need a Biolage Deep Treatment Pack in your carry-on but you don’t suffer from dry strands, you’re in luck! The Biolage Deep Treatment Packs come in a variety of formulas, for dry hair, color treated hair, and hair prone to frizz. No matter your particular hair woe, there’s a Biolage Pack perfect for you.

How To Use Biolage Hydrasource Deep Treatment Pack

Because I use the Biolage Hydrasource Packs on days that my hair feels particularly dry, I like to begin my hair care routine with a shampoo specifically for dry hair like the Biolage Nourish Shampoo. Formulated with quinoa husk and honey, the Biolage Nourish Shampoo feeds dull, dry hair for healthy-looking, softer locks.

Once I’ve washed and rinsed out my hair thoroughly, I squeeze a palmful of the Biolage HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack into my hands and apply the deep treatment from my ends to about an inch away from my scalp. Then, I leave the treatment in my hair for three to five minutes while I let the shower steam do its thing. This is the perfect time to shave your legs, exfoliate your face, or belt some killer shower tunes. Once the five minutes is up, I wash the treatment out of my hair completely and my hair immediately feels soft and moisturized.

The Biolage Hydrasource Deep Treatment Pack has a slightly perfumed scent, that is just strong enough to make your bathroom smell like a spa but light enough it’ll rinse right out. Then I follow the deep treatment with a leave-in conditioner and air dry my hair. I’m left with soft, touchable ringlets every time.

I already have the Biolage HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack in my toiletry bag ready to go for my next trip. If you love to travel just as much as you love a good deep conditioning treatment, you need to pick up this product. Whether you’re nourishing your strands after a day in the sun or after an afternoon skiing down the harsh winter slopes, the Biolage HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack will be there to nourish your dry strands.

The Biolage HydraSource Deep Treatment Pack is available for purchase at Biolage salons across the country. If you want ti purchase online or in stores, the packs will be available to purchase at Ulta in March and available on Amazon in May. Check back for more information.
